The project focuses on economic and environmental sustainability through material reuse and spatial optimization.
Existing marble floors were largely preserved and integrated with precast terrazzo tiles in two complementary color tones. The bookcase from our previous project Casa Diagonale, the clients’ former home, was adapted and reused across different rooms.
Given the deep, single-aspect layout of the apartment, service spaces and storage were relocated away from the windows. This strategy frees the bedrooms from wardrobes, improving daylight, proportions, and spatial clarity.
The entrance and circulation spaces are defined by a rhythmic sequence of light and shadow, generated by the alignment of doors and the voids flanking the wardrobe volumes.
The entrance opens onto the living area as a continuous space, reinforced by a long built-in wall that connects and organizes both environments.
