- This intervention consists of the refurbishment of a flat in a Roman 1920s residential building. The project moves from the client's need of dividing the flat into two distinct units. In addition to that, the client wanted in both units the possibility to link the living/ dining room with the kitchen, still giving an opportunity to separate the rooms when necessary. In order to achieve this goal, a wide L-shaped opening has been cut in the load-bearing wall that previously separated the kitchen from the living room. The partition has then been trasformed into a counter incorporating a sliding panel, and a crystal door. In the smaller unit, the system made of a multifunction kitchen island and sliding panels allows union/ separation of the living space with the kitchen.
